Innovation Programmes
Innowwide
Helping SMEs go global
Innowwide is funded by the European Union as part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs
Innowwide supports innovative small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups to assess the viability of research or commercial plans in international markets. The programme offers grants of 60,000 euro.
How Innowwide supports you
The Innowwide programme provides grant funding to SMEs and startups so that they can run market feasibility projects in cooperation with local actors in the selected target country.
Market feasibility projects allow SMEs to gain a deep understanding of the business environment in a specific target country. Some key outcomes from the project include:
- Understanding the technical feasibility of your product, process, or service in that market
- Understanding the viability of your business model
- Identifying key local legal, financial, political, cultural, and behavioural characteristics that could affect the deployment of your solution
- Identifying ideal ways to exploit your solution, including further research and innovation
How Innowwide works
Funded projects receive a grant of 60,000 euro to assess the practical, technical, and economic feasibility of an innovative solution in a new market during a 6-month timeframe.
Projects must come from an SME or startup in an EU Member State, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Türkiye, or the United Kingdom. They must be directed towards a target country in: Africa, the Americas, Asia, or Oceania.
Who can apply
You can apply if you are an SME or startups from an EU Member State, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Türkiye or the United Kingdom.
Applications to Innowwide must include an independent subcontractor that is established in the target country.
Innowwide funding is awarded to one actor, specifically to the applicant SME. The partner entity is the main subcontractor for the market feasibility project.
