The SmartSimple Platform Guidelines provide a step‑by‑step manual for applicants submitting an Innowwide Call 4 project via the SmartSimple portal. They explain how to create an account, select the call, complete all application sections, invite and verify the counterpart’s commitment, and submit the proposal. A major focus is the counterpart invitation process, which requires two steps.
The document provides guidance on obtaining a PIC number from the EC portal, which is required for submission.
The guidelines highlight the requirement to upload the Workplan PDF (the only annex) using the mandatory template and explain how to complete the online Gantt chart by adding project tasks and submitting each individually.
Finally, the guide recommends the use of the “Save & Validate” button to check completeness and sets out the submission rules: one application per call, no edits after submitting. An email confirmation is sent from the system upon successful submission. Submission does not confirm eligibility.
