On 4-5 May 2026, Eureka is accompanying 26 innovative startups and small- and medium-sized enterprises from 13 countries to this year’s Swiss Biotech Day in Basel, Switzerland.

Recognised Europe-wide as a major biotechnology hub, Basel provides an ideal setting for Swiss Biotech Day, an event that has attracted over 3,000 life science professionals, industry leaders and investors annually since 2021. In 2026, Eureka is sponsoring the participation of 26 companies that are making waves in therapeutics, medical technologies and diagnostics, amongst other areas, with their innovative solutions.

A panel discussion on Monday 4 May, titled ‘Eureka: Non-Dilutive Funding for Global Innovation Collaboration – Opportunities for Biotech’, will publicise available funding and business acceleration tools for biotechnology companies through Eureka, including a newly launched call for international research and development projects open to organisations in 15 countries. Eureka Network Director General, Brit Helle, will join representatives from startups, scaleups and public funding agencies on stage for this interactive session.

Eureka will also host a stand (booth 36) in Swiss Biotech Day’s Global Village, where experts will offer guidance on the wide range of Eureka programmes relevant to biotech innovators.

This mission is being organised as part of Eureka’s Investment Readiness programme within the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs, which is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe. The Investment Readiness programme supports companies in forming international connections with investors and corporate partners.

“Life science and biotechnology research makes up a sizeable portion of Eureka’s portfolio, amounting to more than 20% of our funded projects. Beyond providing non-dilutive funding to de-risk cross-border, business-led innovation projects, we aim to create opportunities that can help companies accelerate bringing their innovations to the market and expand their global reach beyond Europe to global markets.”
