Chile and Eureka Network discuss innovation landscape at high-level meeting

Eureka’s role strengthening the Chilean innovation landscape was discussed in a meeting between new Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francisco Pérez Mackenna, and a delegation composed of Eureka Network’s President, Marc Pauchard, Director General, Brit Helle, and Operations Manager for Global Cooperation and Corporate Activities, Jorge Liz.

According to the Minister, Eureka Network is a key platform for the internationalisation of the Chilean innovation ecosystem and a valuable partner for strengthening human capital development and Chile’s innovation capabilities.

For Eureka, Chile is a valuable member of our network and is Eureka’s first in South America. Its presence boosts Eureka’s outreach and increases collaboration opportunities for innovators in Europe and beyond, strengthening cooperation in strategic areas such as clean technologies and the green transition as well as sustainable mining, biotechnology, and digital transformation.

Funding for Chilean organisations is available through the Network Projects, Eureka Clusters, and Globalstars programmes. The National Funding Body in Chile is CORFO, which supports Chilean organisations interested in international collaboration, giving them access to expertise and supporting their growth.
